4. Qualification of applicants
1.Completed at least high school education in the study plan of science-mathematics, art-math, vocational education certificate in agriculture or fisheries.
2.Passed the selection process according to the criteria of the Office of the Higher Education Commission and or according to the selection regulations of Prince of Songkla University
3.Passed the criteria selection under the special program of Prince of Songkla University
4. a person with good behavior
5. Have a perfect health both physically and mentally, not sick or suffering from a serious contagious disease or have abnormalities that hinder the study
6. fully qualified by the university specification

7. Program’s Introduction
The technology development and innovation of fishery in Thailand are increased rapidly. World marketing responsible in term of quantities and qualities in term of economic aquatic animal and candidate economic species. Aquaculture was develop by local technology and equipment in the past for aquaculture farm. The production yield depends on natural environment factors and production limitations both technology and knowledge in development until the present day has evolved in various technologies. Entering into the use of advanced biotechnology and genetic engineering technology to develop aquatic bloodstock, to increasing seed stock, improve the quality of survival rate, food nutrition development, biotechnology for aquatic health, food safety and water quality management and aquatic environment that related to Green Technology with ecological concern.
Prince of Songkla University, Surat Thani Campus was ready in term of infrastructure and facilities (Aquatic Biotechnology Institute, Shrimp Research and Development Center, Thung Sichai, Chaiya District, Surat Thani Province) and Expertised scientist in aquaculture, fishery resources, biotechnology, marine science, and marine and coastal resources management who exert in teaching and researching in the related fields. Furthermore, they were service the knowledge to local and regional in Thailand for public and private unit that are important to support to developed the related human resources for coastal and fishery resources in Thailand
From the development of the country in all areas, including science, technology and various industries, whether in agriculture, industry. manufacturing industry and coastal and marine tourism activities. All of these activities impact to related environment, especially in marine and coastal area where were collected waste and changes in human activities, both physical and biological. as well as changes in the world's climate. Besides, overfishing, higher demand for seafood consumption but seafood production tends to decrease despite to population growth rate use in coastal areas Industrial plants, oil platforms and other environmental factors affect and change fishery and coastal resource ecosystems are increasing. Therefore, Prince of Songkla University, Surat Thani Campus with the potential staff, expertise colleges in the upper southern Thailand has foreseen the importance of connecting various problems by creating a body of knowledge and producing graduates to meet the needs of human resources at the Bachelor of Science degree in fishery resources. To increase the development potential and sustainable utilization of fishery resources.
