4. Qualification of applicants

          The applicant must have graduated B.Sc. or M.Sc. or the equivalent, in the field of science, aquaculture, fishery resources, limnology, bioproduction technology, science and agricultural technology, marine science, fishery technology, marine technology, fisheries, agriculture, food technology, food science, environmental science, and other fields related to biological sciences, or in other fields that the curriculum committee accept. The applicants can be Thais or foreigners who are interested in the sciences of aquaculture and/or aquaculture business.

Plan A1

          The applicant under this category must have graduated B.Sc. in any of the fields listed above, and must have GPA not lower than 3.00, or having experience in aquaculture or fisheries for at least 2 years. The applicant must also have the result of one of these English proficiency tests [PSU-TEP or CU-TEP or TOEFL (Paper-based or Institutional Testing Program or Computer-based or Internet-based) or IELTS]. The score of the test at the time of application is not a criterion for the admission but subjected to the decision of the curriculum committee, however, before graduation, the candidate must pass the score indicated in the curriculum.  

Plan A2

          The applicant under this category must have graduated B.Sc. in any of the fields listed above, and must have GPA not lower than 2.50 or having experience in aquaculture or fisheries for at least 1 year. The applicant must also have the result of one of these English proficiency tests [PSU-TEP or CU-TEP or TOEFL (Paper-based or Institutional Testing Program or Computer-based or Internet-based) or IELTS]. The score of the test at the time of application is not a criterion for the admission but subjected to the decision of the curriculum committee, however, before graduation, the candidate must pass the score indicated in the curriculum.  

          Any other qualifications of the applicant shall be considered by the curriculum committee, according to the regulations of the Prince of Songkla University Graduate Studies in 2020.

 

5. Required application documents

          1. Certificate of graduation of the Bachelor degree, or transcript and expected date of graduation

2. ID card or the equivalent

3. Conceptual proposal of intended research in English, 1 or 2 A4-page length (submitted at least one week before the interview)

4. Two recommendation letters from either previous teacher or professor or research advisor or supervisor, of the educational institute or work place

 

6. Examination schedule

          The applicant will be directly contacted by the program committee

 

7. Program’s Introduction

          The course focuses on the creation of high-level knowledge and innovation in fisheries resources. aquaculture, and fishery product development based on the research in the southern area, especially in the basin of Tapi river and Bandon bay, which are important areas for fishery resources.

9. Tuition fee

          - Thai student: 28,000 baht/semester

International student: 56,000 baht/semester
